Meteorite Museum

Meteorite is a permanent, underground, interactive museum that opened in Essen, Germany in June 1998. Our group designed all of the interaction for the museum, and Tod Machover composed a special "walk-through" opera that varies as visitors explore the building. A TransFlow Room was designed to allow up to fifty visitors to simultaneously control a coherent environment of interactive sound and image, playing the one hundred sensors lining the walls to create, shape, modify, synchronize, and save-or-eliminate interlocking fragments.
